About Takua Pa Old Town

Takua Pa was once one of the most important towns in southern Thailand, where Chinese, Indian and Arab traders settled alongside Thais and the Chinese opened tin mines. Its Sino-European houses line five main streets, many now cafés and shops, with street art on the walls telling the town’s history; on Sunday evenings Sri Takua Pa Road becomes a walking street of local food and sweets (TAT).

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Takua Pa Old Town before you go.
