About Phuket Old Town on foot
Phuket Town’s old quarter was built in the days of the tin trade by settlers from China, India, Europe and the Muslim world, in the terraced style now called Sino-European or Sino-Portuguese. Walk Thalang, Dibuk, Phang Nga, Yaowarat and Krabi roads and Soi Romanee (TAT), stopping at the Phuket Thai Hua Museum and Chinpracha House on Krabi Road and the Peranakan museum. Our advice: start with roti or congee at one of the Bib Gourmand breakfast shops, before the heat.
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Phuket Old Town on foot before you go.
